I weep by my master's feet
The trembling sight of my weak soul
My heart; forsaken and forlorn
Its beat fades with the waning moon
As I walk the path to the end of my summers
The shores of my life I have arrived
I sailed with the pain of their words;
The bitterness of condemnation,
And the sweet taste of their praise
The union of death and my angel
Their offspring is the woe in me
The eternal blessing of darkness
The light has shone to die again
I have lived long enough to see the end
I have died and my mortal soul is no more.
